YEY! I'm 12 weeks! It's arrived.. pretty quickly actually. Although, we had already announced it and don't wait till 12 weeks, and knew this baby would stay, I'm pretty happy to be here!

I thought morning sickness had eased, and although I have some better days, and some days I'm not sick alll day like I was, when I am sick... I'm SICK! The day I was 12 weeks pregnant was the worst sickness of my whole pregnancy!! However, my exhaustion has left, although I go to bed earlier, I'm not needing to nap during the day.

I weighed myself this week, and was SO shocked that I have put on two kilo already ( 4.4 pounds ) ... some days I don't even keep one meal down, so I couldn't believe it! Ugh! I'm going to have to deal with gaining weight sooner or later, but I did think I was too early to gain that much?!

Baby Caterpillar - 11 Weeks.

I can't believe I've only got one more week to go and I'll be 12 weeks (well really, 4 more days, cause I'm always behind on my posts!). Not that it means a whole deal because we've already told every one ;) .. but to be over the newly developmental stage for baby caterpillar is pretty exciting!

My morning sickness has days, on and off days. Some days I'll throw up five times, other times once or twice, others not at all. I'm always nauseous though, but that's getting less & less too. So it is starting to ease.  I have really copped it this pregnancy, I try hard to not complain, because I am so so blessed, but it can be horribly depressing when I'm so so sick and can't do much. I'm sure the end is near though. I'm hoping so for Jydan's sake, he really doesn't cope well with mummy being sick.

I'm starting to get some of the nice symptoms now too, the strong, long hair, and the long nails, and thanks to throwing up so much, I'm losing my hips! (Once on your lips, forever on your hips, unless you throw up everything you've eaten for the last ten years while pregnant!). I'm also not as tired!

I've started to sport my little bump! Although, I don't think it's as big as Jydan's!
Excuse my already streched out belly, but here's my 11 week bump shot! Isn't Tim's face SOO cute!!

I don't feel AS organised this pregnancy, I haven't bought anything yet, but I have so much from Jydan I don't really need to.

Symptoms this week:
Morning sickness
Tiredness.
Over heating.
Hot sweats.
Lots of peeing!
Tender Breasts.
Hair & Nail Growth.
Stomach tightening.
Nausea.
Indigestion.
Weight gain: 500 grams at last check, but haven't checked for a few weeks.

Size of baby:
Head to bottom - 4cm
About the size of a brussle sprout!

Baby has everything now, from tooth buds to fingers and toes!
Time left:

Baby Caterpillar - 10 Weeks.

A quarter of the way through!! Wow, how time is flying! Thank goodness though, but it makes me think, if time is going this fast while I'm pregnant, imagine what time will be like when baby is actually born, ek!

Morning sickness, I 'think' I'm starting to see the end, but I know that every time I say this, it comes to bite me on the bum twice as hard! I've gone from vomiting about 5 times a day, to about once though. My mum bought me over some ginger to make ginger tea though, lets see if that helps.

Talking of my mum, she also bought me a beautiful bunch of pink lillies, my favourite flowers, just because I've been so sick. Isn't she amazing!

Baby Caterpillar - 9 Weeks.

Ah! I'm so behind already. My posts were spot on, ready to go, when I was pregnant with Jydan, and now I keep forgetting to post. This pregnancy, although I'm only 9 weeks, has flown so far! Or I'm too exhausted to jump on the computer! So here's to a few catch up posts...
Just when I thought sickness was easing up, it hit me like a tone of bricks. And worse. Grocery shopping.. red raw meat... woah! Poor Jydan, I swung the trolley to Tim and ran off to the public toilets. I could hear Jydan screaming as I ran off. Poor thing is still a bit anxious about what's going on. Especially because he had no idea why Mummy just ran off.
He's doing better with Mummy being sick though. And he has been such a little angel while I've been so tired.

I've had a little peak to see if there's any names that I like out there. We have the girls name picked from when I was pregnant with Jydan and if he was a girl, but we don't have a boys name at all. Still plenty of time though, but from what I've looked at, there hasn't been any boys name that's stood out. Coming up with Jydan was hard enough!

Symptoms this week:

Morning sickness
Exhaustion.
Over heating.
Hot sweats.
Lots of peeing!
Dry Skin.
Dry Hair.
Sciatic Nerve Pain.

Weight gain: 500 grams

Cravings:
Fresh fruit!!

Baby Caterpillar - 8 weeks.

Oh hello 8 weeks, you've arrived already! How time is sort of flying now. I had to have the glucose tolerance test this week, what a pain. They've changed the testing now, so I now have to do an early one at around 9 weeks & 27 weeks. Fasting for 10-16 hours is hooorrrrible when you have morning sickness!

I'm waiting to hear what date my doctor will go by as my due date, at the moment I have three!!  I know baby will come whenever. I know.. Jydan tried to come at 36 weeks. But it would just be nice to know how far I actually am. I was going by my dating scan, but my doctor is still writing my LMP date (which means I'm due 26 march).

Sickness hasn't been overly bad this week. I think its calming down now. Thank goodness.

My pants are starting to get fairly tight now, I'm often having to undo the top button. I was in maternity clothes already with Jydan at 8 weeks, so I feel better that I can at least fit in my pants still!

Symptoms this week:

Constipation.
Morning sickness
Exhaustion.
Over heating.
Hot sweats.
Lots of peeing!

Baby Caterpillar - 7 Weeks.

Now I've finally passed the longest week in history where 6 weeks actually took me 15 days since I was put back 8 from my scan, I'm finally finding things are going back on track. Thank goodness!
At 7 weeks & 5 days my doctor, who I've decided to do shared care with, booked me in for another scan that afternoon since the last scan put me back so far behind. But little Caterpillar is doing SO well, with a heartbeat now of 174bpm! Fast beating bubby! It also measured 8 weeks, so it's growing beautifully too! So beautiful. I feel a lot more excited now. This is ACTUALLY HAPPENING!!

Jydan gets really scared of Mummy being sick, and Mummy is sick a fair bit. He screams for me and cries out Mum. The poor little thing. We are working on reassuring him, and I'll make a social book soon that will hopefully explain things to him a bit easier.
Mints have been my favourite thing lately, and savoy bikkies. I got some mints because I'm over heating so much, and the bikkies are helping with my nausea.

Symptoms this week:

Constipation.
All Day Sickness (badly).
Exhaustion.
Sciatic Nerve Pain.
Bloating.
Over heating.
Hot sweats.
Lots of peeing!

Weight gain:500 grams

Size of baby:A blueberry! (The lady who did the ultrasound said peanut)
Baby's doing this week:
Making hands and feet!

Time left:
33 weeks.

Guessing baby's gender:
Girl.

Nickname for baby:
Caterpillar - because of the hungry caterpillar themed nursery.

Cravings:
None.

Baby Caterpillar - 6 weeks.

Now to start the longest week ever of my pregnancy. I thought I had already passed the 6 week mark and onto 7 weeks, but being put back so far behind, has turned this pregnancy week into 15 days!! Ugh, time better go fast after this!
I'm so glad my scan went all well though, although I have no photo to show you all!
We decided to announce that we're pregnant after our scan. We aren't ones to wait until 12 weeks. I'm completely impatient, and we don't want to be thinking about the 'what ifs'.
So this is how we announced it!!

Thank you to my wonderful photographer, Tanya, from www.tksphotography.com.au.
I use her photography for everything!
Isn't it just the cutest photo!

Symptoms this week:

Constipation.
Morning Sickness (badly).
Exhaustion.
Sciatic Nerve Pain.
Bloating.
Over heating.
Hot sweats.

Weight gain:
0

Size of baby:

Making arms and legs!

Time left:
34 weeks.

Guessing baby's gender:
Girl.

Nickname for baby:
Caterpillar - because of the hungry caterpillar themed nursery.

Cravings:
None.

Baby Caterpillar - 5 weeks.

This week, thinking we were almost 7 weeks along, we went for our dating scan.. only to find out we were only 5 weeks & 5 days!
I was so stressed out the morning of the scan. My anxiety levels were through the roof, I had no idea what to expect, and if baby would have a heartbeat! That when we found out we were 8 days behind, although nothing major at all, I felt so devastated! I was crying, so much emotion. 8 days behind what I thought, seriously!! But even though I was only 5 weeks and 5 days, we got a heartbeat! A heartbeat of 115bpm. Which I think is great for that gestation, and to be picked up before 6 weeks too.
I'm a bit confused with what dates to go by now, according to my scan I'm due the 4th April.
Also, according to my scan, I found out at 2 weeks & 6 days, so I'm thinking that I just have a super strong little bubba in there! I can't believe though, I've known for three weeks already and I'm still in my 5th week! Hope it gets quicker from here!

Symptoms:

Morning Sickness. If I thought I had morning sickness before... holy cow! I can't even get out of bed. I have been riddled with all day sickness. So incredibly sick!

Breast Growth. My boobs have gone up a cup size.

Bloating.

Constipation.

Exhaustion.

Baby Caterpillar - 4 weeks

Yey, we made it through another week, another week, here I come! We've told a few more people this week and booked in my dating scan and the photographer. Our scan is Friday the 7th of Aug, and the announcement is the next day. Get excited!! I will post the announcement photo and then all the other first tri posts.
Morning sickness has been at its worse this week but there's days when I'm completely fine!
I see a little bloated bump come up already, which I didn't think would happen for a while since I have so much "Jydan left overs" still there.. But how wrong I was!!! Even when I told someone they said "I thought you were bigger". No joke! NO JOKE! I'm only super early!

We've just moved, and it was awful being so sick!! I'm glad we had so much help.

My only symptoms this week have been:
-Breast Pain
-Breast Growth (gone up a cup size already)
-Morning Sickness.
-Irratability.

Baby Caterpillar - 3 weeks.

So I thought I was 4 weeks when I found out I was pregnant, but I counted back from my dating scan and I actually found out at 2 weeks and 6 days! I couldn't believe it! A little disappointed that I was put back 8 days, but wow, my hormones must be crazy high, no wonder I've been so sick.

So today I found out I was pregnant, what an amazing suprise!!
I actually did a test yeterday, but the result took too long to come up I thought it was negative so I shoved it back in the box and went off to my Dad's birthday. Still feeling really nautious I decided to do another one in the morning, low and behold it was positive! So now I've become a bit of a Pee On A Stick addict!!
We've been trying for almost a year now, and I'm SO over it! Although, in all honesty, I was starting to get use to the idea of only having one child. But thank goodness that part's over, now it's just time to wait to reach the dating scan mark.

I have no idea when we'll announce... I highly doubt I'll wait until 12 weeks. Actually! Jydan and our photographer is doing the announcing for us! Which is so wierd to say, because by the time I actually post these frist trimester posts we would have already announced!

I seem to have so many symptoms early, much earlier then I did with Jydan!

Symptoms:

-Morning /All Day Sickness
- Tiredness
- Leaking Colostrum
- Change in Taste.
- Irritable.

There's not much more to say about this week, I haven't told many people yet except my parents & of course Jydan. Besides peeing on a stick everyday, nothing more is happening ;)

BABY TILEY- WEEK 12

12 Weeks:
Wow, I don't know I have ever been so proud. It's official.. Baby Tiley is here to stay forever & ever & ever!!!! wow wow wow wow wow!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am just amazed!!
This Week:
This week was the quickest week ever because when we went for our ultrasound on Monday we found out we were 4 days ahead. So back to our original dates before the 6 week ultrasound changed it. I think after this they don't change your dates again and it will just be down to if the baby is small for dates or big for dates. This means I'm now due on the 22nd of November.

Here is our little one now:
The Ultrasound:
Bubby has grown sooo much in 6 weeks! Since the last ultrasound!
The photo of Tiley is much clearer then this. You can see two legs and an arm, an ear, a nose and its so cute!
Tiley's feet are about one cm long, how super cute!
Tiley's eye's have now moved to the front of their face.. they began at the side.
Tiley's liver and kidneys are now working perfectly. Bubs kidneys are now starting to make urine in the bladder.
Tiley moves if my tummy is prodded, although I cannot feel Tiley yet.
It's a pity we will only get pictures now and not on a disc as it's so hard to take a picture of a picture.
Tiley was sleeping this time and we woke the poor thing up & then it turned away from us.. so clever knowing to turn away from the ultrasound, bub must be making itself a good brain :)
Private VS Public:
I also cancelled my obstetrician appointment and we decided to go with the public health system. I couldn't believe how much it all costs! It was $200 the first visit, $85 every four weeks and then a $2,000 fee. We would rather have that money in savings for the baby or buy something for the baby that they really need.
So I'm off to the doctor again on Saturday so she can book me in the public system :). I am loving the opening hours of my new doctor surgery.. weekdays to 7:30pm except Fridays to 5:30pm and open on Saturdays.
Nusery Inspiration:
Each week we try & organise, decide or buy something new each week. The last few weeks was modern cloth nappies- check out last weeks blog :)
This week it's the nursery!

  Inspiration photos:
Were thinking dark brown wooden furniture & browns, creams & greens. Possibly a light misty green like the second photo with a brown feature wall.
Jungle and zoo animal wall stickers... lots of monkeys, lions, elephants... I'm going to collect alot of photos of what we exactly want first before we go and buy anything. We then know exactly what we want to buy & know everything will match.
It'll be really neutral but gorgeous so we can start plans and buy nursery stuff at any time. We've only got 6 months left!
It seems only yesterday I was saying 6 months left till our wedding!! It goes too quick!

Next week I will be in the second trimester.
8 weeks till I'm half way!!

Baby Tiley- 11 WEEKS

My quote of the week:
"I don't think I have crazy pregnancy lady hormones, I think it's just a lack of cigarettes & wine..."

Our Scare:
I spent the last couple of days debating if I would include our hospital scare in this weeks blog. I had wrote down every single detail but am just going to keep it short.
It is now apart of my pregnancy journey but not something I would like to dwell on.
Thursday morning I woke up after a horrid dream that I was bleeding, it was the second dream like that this pregnancy so it didn't scare me but not nicest thing to think of when you wake up. Then I went to the toilet and their was the blood, for real.. It wasn't till the afternoon that I realised I dreamt about bleeding the night before.  After two miscarriages we thought the worse but hoped for the best.
It was a really scary day for us, especially waiting all day for an ultrasound.
We went to the hospital at 8:45am to be told at about 2:00pm that we can't get an ultrasound till Monday but the nurse did one anyway (out of the complete goodness of her heart just to give us reassurance that the baby was okay - she was not trained to give an ultrasound or anything)
So at about 2:30pm we saw our baby.

Our gorgeous, active, somersaulting, star jumping baby with two arms, two legs & a fast beating heart. & that's all we wanted. I was in tears. I couldn't believe we had such bad outcomes with the others and now finally we have a healthy, strong baby!! I couldn't see much because I was crying so I keep asking Tim what it was like. He said that it was so clear he could see every little arm and leg.. It was good for him to experience something extra that I didn't, as us ladies get the first kicks, butterfly's.. all the amazing things the fathers don't get. But I really wish I was brave and saw the baby clearly!!
I'm actually looking forward to the ultrasound on Monday because I know everything will be okay & we were told we couldn't have a 12 week ultrasound, so this will be like our 12 week ultrasound.

We wont find out where the bleeding came from till Monday with a proper ultrasound and then I will see the obstetrician on Tuesday. The bleeding has stopped & I have been resting the last couple of days so I'm feeling alot better. I was very emotional- my blood pressure has gone from 110/79 during the pregnancy to 150/110 on Thursday, so I really needed to calm myself down and relax. For the baby.

What Tiley Would Look Like:
This is what Tiley would have looked like in the ultrasound... So much like a baby, can you believe it? Measuring at about 4 & 1/2 - 5 CM and has grown a whole CM just this week!! We were just discussing how HUGE Tiley's got. & then had to laugh. Yep Tiley has grown so, so, so much but still is so, so, so tiny. It was surreal on the ultrasound compared to the 6 week ultrasound.. Tiley really did look like a tiny human!!

New Doctor:
I went to see my new doctor this week too. The whole time I was waiting I was thinking.. okay the other doctors isn't that bad, the other doctor's waiting room is cleaner, the other doctor runs on time, the other doctor surgery's chairs are more comfortable... and then the wonderful doctor called me and gave me loads and loads and loads of information.. ohhh such a blessing!! She also sent a referral to an Ob and Gyno, answered all my questions, really took the time for me.. she didn't even know me & when I said I was looking for a new doctor for some antenatal care she was so so excited!! I am very happy with this doctor! (They just need a cleaner and more comfortable waiting room!!- but hey, what can you expect for Mowbray!)
Morning Sickness:
My morning sickness is very on & off.. alot better then it has been.. crossing my fingers that it will be gone next week. Please Please PLEASE. Ah what happened to the 'glowing' and the 'enjoyment'...

Pregnant In Heels:
I've been watching Pregnant In Heels...
These are all million dollar glamorous ladies having a fabulous pregnancy and here I am hugging the toilet every morning. I really want this to be a great time so I'm trying to take some tips. I don't have to be a frumpy pregnant woman.. I can be stylish, pretty & even if I'm not blessed with a pregnancy glow, I can make myself glow. I don't have to let the whole world know that I'm so sick, tired and my hairs completely changed, I have restless leg syndrome anyway and it's got worse already and I've put on 1/2 a kilo (Originally put on 2 but lost 1 & 1/2).

So I can't believe next week I will be finally 12 weeks!! and then another week & I will be in the second trimester :)

So so proud of our little one doing so well. And I'm so in love!
29 more weeks!!!

Dad's Thoughts

Well a word from the dad to be here. At this point i'm looking forward to going and having the twelve week scan and seeing how much our little one has grown. It is just exciting sitting there and seeing it all on the monitor at the scans. I can't wait to see tiny little hands and feet on this next scan it'll be such a surreal moment.

BABY TILEY- WEEK 10

Another Week:
YEY! We made it, another week & the furthest we have been.. go us, well done to daddy-to-be, mummy-to-be & baby Tiley!!
Modern Cloth Nappies:
The biggest thing I've been researching and buying sample's of is modern cloth nappys!!
These are the one's that have been really recommended:
Itti Bitti & Baby Beehinds:

I have also got a couple of one size fits all's from ebay. Everyone has said that it really depends on what fits bub best and if cheap ebay one's fit best why not spend $1-$2 per nappy rather then $25-$35? The only thing I won't do is buy second hand MCN's on Ebay.
I'm just buying neutral nappys at the moment, I can't wait to buy pink or blue ones.. not long till I find out though!! :)
I don't know if I'll use modern cloth nappys the first couple of weeks.. it really depends on babys poo (We are talking about babys nappys after all) apparently breast fed babys are runny..I just don't know. I feel alot better with cloth going on babys bum then plastic :) Tim & I have both got sensitive skin so I'm avoiding rashes and everything else as much as possible. Besides, how much cuter are they? & much easier then the old cloth nappys!
Wipes:
Wet wipes and cloth wipes are still a decision I need to make:

Tiley This Week:
Tiley's hair and little nail buds begin to grow, I can't wait to see what could colour hair Tiley has!! Tim & I have pretty much the same hair colour so it would be great if bub had our hair colour but there is also blonde & browns in our family so it will so interesting. And how many hair will Tiley be born with? Will Tiley have freckles? So many surprises!! Eye colour will be another surprise when Tiley's eyes change because I have blue & Tim has brown :)

Only 2 more weeks till we've made it to 12 weeks!!!
