Anything chuggington!! Especially the DVD's. The vacuum is still a favourite toy too.

Favourite Food:

Jydan is really love banana chips at the moment! Loves his nana chippies!!

Best Memory Of This Month:

Easter!! We had such a fun filled day, you can see my post here. Also Mothers Day was such an amazing day!! I felt so blessed.

Child Health Nurse Appointment:

The child health nurse is really impressed with the way Jydan listens and follows instructions. I asked him to put the toys in the box and then get in the pram, and he did exactly as follow. He also understood what was going on and when I said 'come look here Jydan, I found a lion'. I am pretty impressed myself!

Jydan has only gained 100grams in the last 6 weeks, but he did have a pretty bad bout of gastro, so we didn't expect him to gain much though. Hopefully he makes it up soon.

Doctors Appointment:
We had his immunisations at the doctors, because of his allergies we now have to get them done with the doctor if he has a reaction with some vaccines that egg may be present with. Jydan went really well with his immunisations, he just had a little jump as they went in, didn't even have a grizzle. He has a very high pain threshold!!
We now have to see an allergy specialist doctor monthly too. Jydan had an allergy test this week and it showed up he is definitely allergic to egg. However we need to find exactly what he is intolerant too as he has always had bowel, tummy and eczema issues.

Paediatrician Appointment:
At the start of next month.

Dietitian Appointment:
Will find out if Jydan needs to continue seeing a dietitian at his peeds appointment since he is actually eating well now.

Speech Therapy Appointment:
Missed a call that I need to follow up.

Occupational Therapy Appointment:
 Waiting for an appointment.

Phyio Therapy:

Wasn't able to make this months appointment, as they wanted the session to be without Jydan!! I can't get him looked after through the day.

Home Physio:

Continuing to help Jydan sit correctly, I have just bought him some boots to wear to try and help correct his ankles.

Jydan is using his imagination so much now, it's absolutely adorable, giving me pretend things, pretending to vacuum, pretending to eat. He is really starting to want to play 'games' too, handing me a ball or something he wants to play with as a game. He has also started to climb and try to climb, it's all fun and games everywhere right now.

After not sleeping through the night for a couple of months now he has gone back to sleep through... well 2 out of 3 nights he will. After getting five teeth though without many dramas, I don't blame him at all!!

I always hoped for an affectionate child that loves to cuddle.. and that's definitely Jydan!! He loves to cuddle & kiss. He snuggles after his nap and cuddles and kiss whenever he can. I love how he loves. His heart is full of love. It definitely makes up for all his tantrums of late (hehe). I have never seen a child that's so affectionate. Oh how I adore it!!

The poor little man and a bout of gastro this month which meant we went backwards in toilet training and I haven't had the chance to try again. It's on the agenda to get back into it soon though! I'm sure being the clever little man he is, he will pick it up again.

I think he is at THE best age right now! He is so fun at the moment, makes my life really really fun! It's actually, aside from the tantrums and trying to balance my business and attention for him, life with him is actually pretty easy at the moment. He can be such a calmer in my life (most of the time).

Doctors Appointment:

Jydan had his 12 month immunisations at the doctor surgery this month. He did really well again, as he always does!
Paediatrician Appointment: (hopefully next week)
Dietitian Appointment: (hopefully soon)
Speech Therapy Appointment:

Jydan now sees a speech therapist because of his eating. He doesn't like to eat and he definitely doesn't like to let a spoon near his mouth. After going to his therapist appointment they think it's all linked to his reflux and that he has an aversion to food because he has associated that with reflux pain!
Occupational Therapy Appointment:Jydan also saw an OT and will be going back to see them in a couple months time. Really this appointment was to see if the reason Jydan doesn't eat was a sensory issue. They are still unsure at the moment so we are leaving that for a couple of months. However, in the mean time they noticed they way Jydan sits.

So Jydan sits on his knees with his feet turned out. We just thought it was cute and funny, actually we didn't think tooo much of it. but apparently it could mean that he has low core strength and it can put pressure on his feet and can cause him to be flat footed. Also because he sits like this we have to keep an eye out on how he walks! (Which they said he is walked great on his feet at the moment).
So we just have to gently move them in front of him, and teach him to do so.

What an eye opener this month has been with all his appointments! Last month Jydan had soo many tests done on his poor little body, it was heartbreaking. To see if he had anything wrong with his gut, as to why he is loosing weight. He was tested for cystic fibrosis and cyliac disease. And blood tests. Thank God it was all clear! Seems it's just that he isn't eating enough (which he doesn't!). Just his iron was still low.
He is going a little better with his eating which is fantastic!

So now THIS month had eating and sensory occupational therapy appointments!

Sometimes I really want to push everything aside. If it's not his weight, it's his eating, or it's his head, or it's low nutrition, or it's blood tests, now it's sensory issues!! It can get so overwhelming and I just want to cancel all the appointments and forget everything. I feel like we're always hitting a wall. Last month I was worried Jydan had cystic fybrosis, this month i'm worried he has sensory processing disorder! On top of that he has loads of allergies and bad eczema as well as head growth problems. Sometimes I just cry about it all because I feel like it's too much for me to handle. Big fat sigh!!!!

Putting all that aside, Jydan is such a ray of sunshine. He is sooo intelligent and switched on. He talks better then any baby I know his age. He loves to play all day and figure things out. He likes to tinker and explore and pull things apart. He loves going around with his plastic hammer and wacking everything and pushing his toy cars around saying 'brrruummm'. He loves bubbles most of all but often gets confused and calls them 'boobies'. So hilarious when he says 'more more boobies!'

He can destroy a clean house within seconds, and rips up any paper he can find. He will smother all his food everywhere and on anything near his highchair and he has just started pushing his food off the tray, on to the floor. He loves splashing in water, pulling the grass out of the ground and playing in dirt. He is such a boy, and I love it!

Baby Jydan - 4 Months 2 Weeks.

Nineteen Weeks:

So now Jydan is four and a half months (what?!) I have decided to change my posts up a bit. Each month I will do the in depth weekly posts I have been doing but weekly I'll just do a quick up date of what's going on which will now be like this!
I want to blog about more things I'm doing and love and since Jydan is really easy now and settled it's time to have more 'ME' time!
This week consisted of 4 month needles, Jydan's first funeral, an overnight trip, more active play, better day sleeps, colder weather, stories, sitting improvement, church, eczema, snuggles, a protest and more chat, chat, chat!!

Jydan's in disposables for a couple of days because he has the 'after immunisation poops!'.. which aren't pretty!!

Favourite Toy This Week:
Jydan's really liking his little 'sock monkey' this week. I think because he can hold onto it a bit better, probably one of the only toys he can hold and shake around. He swaps it between his hands, so cute!

Favourite Thing To Do:

Definitely suck on his hands at the moment - his teeth are giving him some grief so it's fingers in his mouth 24/7! He even got a little sucking sore on his pointer!

Favourite Book:

Umm no real favourite book on Jydans behalf but I'm loving the very hungry caterpillar!

Favourite Word This Week:

"muuuummmm" oh bless him!!

Milestones:

Jydans rolling, cooing/chatting, doing crunches, laughing, sitting for a few seconds, can put weight on his legs for a couple of minutes, says mum, interacts, plays by himself, reaches if you give him something, gets excited when dad comes home, associates and snuggles.

Personality This Week:

Mostly calm and placid. Some very easy days where he has just been the most gorgeous perfect boy but some days the teeth have given him some grief, I must say he copes really well and even when it was yucky needle time Jydan was fine. He got some VIP treatment after his needles and lots of cuddles.

Moment Of The Week:

Tim (daddy) reading Jydan a story. When Tims home on the weekends we often don't have story time. It's usually only on week days that we read stories and we do more active family oriented things on the weekends. So it was so nice to see Tim and Jydan relaxing and reading together :).

Outfit Of The Week:

My super funky little man!!

Photo Of The Week:

Jydan sitting all by himself, way too clever for words :).
