These are my favourite 18-24 month must have items!

1. Meal Booster Seats. 
   
   Include your toddler at the dinner table.
2. Building Blocks.
   
   Great for your toddler to master so many skills, and they are so fun to play with!
   
   
3. Blender/Smoothie Maker.
   
   For when the toddler refuses to eat.
   
   
4. Household Play Items.
   
   Household and role play are really big for your toddler right now.
   
   
5. Stable Running Shoes.
   
   It's running time!!
   
   
6. Potty.
   
   For when you want to start Toilet Training.
   
   
7. Doodle / Drawing Fun.
   
   Drawing is fun, and much more fun on a doodle pad then the walls!
   
   
8. Educational Books.
   
   A must have for all ages, but even more so for this age.
   
   
9. Step Stools.
   
   Help your toddler get to the bathroom sink or anything else they need to.
   
   
10. Plastic Animals.
    
    Great for learning animal names and sounds, and role play!
    
    
11. Number/Letter Bath Toys.

Toddler Winter Must Haves!

I'm preparing for winter already, what a horrible thought! I live in the the coldest state of Australia, and it gets FREEZING! It's only just started heating up and I'm shopping for winter! But here are some winter things I'm buying & in love with!

Baby Ugg's!

Jydan had a pair of these when he was younger and I'm so buying his size this winter. They feel SO warm!

Pram Hood!

We have a pram hood already but I wanted to put it on this list. Such a must have!!

Leggings! & Leg Warmers!

An extra layer under Jydan's pants warms him up nice and toasty!

Fingerless Gloves.

By this ages the little bundles want to do EVERYTHING with their hands and touch and explore everything. Finger less gloves still give them some warmth with letting their fingers free!

Gumboots!

I'm so excited for gumboots!! How much fun are we going to have in gumboots!!

Winter Tracksuits.

There's nothing more comfortable for winter!

Humidifier.

We were pretty lucky last winter, but this winter we're going to be out & about a bit more. So I'm catering for colds & flu's.. ekk! This mist humidifier is super cute too!

12-18 Month Must Haves.

I love writting these must have posts!! These are my favourite 12-18 month old things.Check out my 0-6 month, 6-9 month  and 9-12 month must have posts :)

- Smock Bibs

I need to get more of these smock bibs! They are fantastic because 12-18 month olds are eating so much finger food, and they're messy messy messy little beasts!! 

- Cozy Coupe (or alike)

It's time to get out the toddler toys! We have the 'or alike' (a tractor) and we love it! Such cool fun!

- Trike.

I soo wish we had this trike!! A smart trike is such a great idea! However we just have a normal trike, which is super cool anyway. Such a fun alternative to a pram when it's short trips! 

- Plastic balls.

I recommend these plastic balls because they can go in anything and everything to make it more fun. We bought Jydan a jumpoline and filled it with balls. Also great for clams, pools in winter, play pens or just to play with anyway!

-Ride On Car

Such a fun independent play idea. We've all grown up with ride on cars! Every kiddo loves them.

- Pull along Toys.

This is the time when children's imagination really grow. I've watched Jydan pull along toys all around the house 'playing' with it, so hilarious and keeps him entertained for ages!

-Building or Stacking Toys.

So many games can be made from building and stacking toys! And if your toddlers are anything like mine, there favourite thing is pushing them over! Probably my favourite thing to play with him too. Mumma stacks and bubba knocks down!

-High Chair Booster Seat.

These are so handy when you're travelling out and about to eat. My son is so chuffed when he gets to sit at the bit person table with his booster seat too. Great to start to introduce them to sitting at the table!

9-12 Month Must Haves.

- Play Table

Jydan just loves these play tables, he has three! And this musical one by Leap Frog is his (and my!) favourite! It's the first thing he goes to when he has his toys out. He could play with them all day. They have some great learning activities on them.

- Leg Warmers

 Ahhh.. crawlers = carpet burn :/ . Baby leg warmers are a must to keep on hand when bub is wearing legless pants and is in crawling mode!

- Take and Toss products

I bought a pack of 24 take and toss products for about $10! Amazing value! Great to put at the back of the pantry for when you need them. The sippy cups are pretty good too. The storage bowls are big enough to hold Jydan's lunch and are a great basic container to carry his meals in when we go out and about. I've never had a spill either.

- Scoop Bibs

At this age they start to have a lot of finger food, and also a lot of families are doing more baby led weaning style feeding. So these come in really handy. Jydan knows that when food falls into his bib he just has to reach into his bib and grab them. We just wipe them down and use it for the next snack.

 

- Baby Carrier

I'm pretty sure I put this baby carrier in every must have post! I just love, love my ergo! At the moment Jydan is going through a bit of a 'rough patch' so it's in the carrier we go. So great when I have to do the housework and Jydan is clingy. Baby snuggles all day!

Plus I don't drive so this makes public transport trips soo much easier.

 

- Wooden Puzzles

Jydan just LOVES his puzzles and these wooden puzzles with the little handles on them make life really simple for the little boy! All the different colours and shapes and learning to put them in in the right spot. This is probably one of the very few things Jydan will play with independently. Very recommended for older babies.

 

-  Baby Art Smock

 

 

This is such a fun craft age, and messy craft age. If you haven't introduced painting yet now is definitely the time. These full covered art smocks are a clothes life saver! (although we tend to paint naked)

 

- Travel High Chair

This is one of the best inventions. We are always out and about to my families for dinners and it's so small and easy to use. I MUST admit, we haven't got one of these, but it's on top of my wish list! We are off to a holiday soon and I'll be buying this to take with us. This will be really convenient when we go to resturants too, no more sitting on my lap and trying to balance a meal and a baby, and a handful of toys ;)
