Best Memory Of This Month:

Being discharged from the nutritional department at the hospital. YEY!

Child Health Nurse Appointment:

I haven't been to the CHN this month, we will go in the next couple of weeks though.

Doctors Appointment:
No need for a doctors appointment this month :).

Paediatrician Appointment:
We have an appointment this week, but I did have to get Jydan to have some blood tests through his paed this month, SO horrible!

Dietitian Appointment:
It went really, really well.. it looks like Jydan is being discharged!!

Speech Therapy Appointment:
Jydan is back on the waiting list for a speechie as they are low on staff.

Occupational Therapy Appointment:
Jydan had an OT appointment, and we worked on more sensory issues. We are waiting on a result from the OT about some sensory stuff.
Phyio Therapy:

We won't have another physio appointment until around December.

Home Physio:

Jydan wearing boots is helping his foot SO well. So much improvement.

Jydan's imagination is really really amazing, I get so surprised with how it is. He loves to have pretend picnics, and will get a plate of his pretend food and want to share with everyone. It's the sweetest and most beautiful thing to watch! Love that my little man is learning how to do all these wonderful things.

A few months ago, we tried to toilet train Jydan, but after a batch of bad gastro everything regressed, and then we were moving, so I wasn't too worried by it. But about a week ago Jydan decided that he is going to use the toilet and jocks, and that's it. I will add a Journey to the toilet post soon! He's growing up so quick.

With all this amazing growing he has started wearing some size one's (12-18months)!! Most are too big still, but 0's (6-12months) are getting too small! He's in that awkward in between size stage.. but yey for growing!!

Jydan hasn't been sleeping all that good at the moment, but hey! That's life! We also lost his second blanky that he likes to go to sleep with, so to be fair, it must be really hard for him. But even before this he wasn't sleeping. And only in my arms for his day nap.

Jydan is at the age at the moment where he is really responding to kiddies his age (although he seems to love older kids more), he tries to say hello, hi-five's them, gives them cuddles, rubs them gently on their back, and looks right into their eyes. It's absolutely adorable watching him build these friendships!!

Best Memory Of This Month: The Playschool concert! I was so excited for this! And Jydan had so much fun playing with his little friend, Felix!I will definitely take Jydan to the next one :).

Child Health Nurse Appointment:Jydan is STILL gaining weight really well. It's amazing!! He is doing everything he is suppose to be doing. I think we will stop going monthly now & go every second month.

Doctors Appointment:
No need this month.

Paediatrician Appointment:
 In two months time.

Dietitian Appointment:
Few more tips on getting Jydan to eat as usual. Try a new months worth of tricks. Next appointment booked for 3-4 months time.

Speech Therapy Appointment:
No appointment this month, still trying to use all the tips they gave us from the last appointment, will make another appointment after we have done them all.

Occupational Therapy Appointment:
Appointment next month, still working on sensory issues.

Phyio Therapy: Still waiting to be called for our referral.

Home Physio: Continuing to help Jydan sit correctly, he seems to have gone back to W sitting alot more, I think that's because of sitting on the potty (not having his legs out straight). Starting to walk better though. Bending his legs alot more and has bought his base in.

Jydan seemed to grow up all of sudden really quickly this month, It seemed to be a huge difference between 16 months and 17 months. I guess he's so close to 1 & a half now!  He is talking alot more and saying lots of three word sentences now, as well as lots of two word ones. Sometimes he's hard to understand but he can be very clear with his speech - especially when he wants chuggington! He is completely chuggington obsessed!! He is nuts about it, from the moment he wakes up, to when he goes to bed, he just wants to watch or play with something chuggington related.

Jydan has gone down to just one nap now, which he has after lunch and sleeps for about 90 minutes, sometimes longer (yesterday was three hours, but I'm pretty sure that's the longest he has slept in his life!!). He was just ready to cut his second nap out, he wasn't sleeping properly at night, and hard to settle. He is much better now he just has the one!

Jydan is using his imagination and playing really well these days, entertaining himself , making up games for himself.. it's crazy cute! And when he laughs at himself because he has made up something hilarious!! He just brightens up my day, such an awesome personality.

Jydan is in size one tops now, 12-18 months, finally! But he is still in size 0's for bottoms (6-12months), he has such a little waist. I can't buy any cute sets together because he is in two different sizes.  Now he is eating really well and gaining weight amazingly, I think we will go through sizes really quickly now!!

The little man is doing so well with his toilet training too, but I'll leave that for the journey to the toilet post. :)

-Birdie
-Tickle
-Breee (Not exactly sure what this is, we think it's Millie?)

Jydan put on 700grams, in about 1 & 1/2 months! He is still little but we are super pleased with his weight gain!! Go my little man, I feel better about giving up the booby feeds now Ive seen his weight improve so well.
Jydan is doing all the right things for his age.
Doctors Appointment: No need this month.

Paediatrician Appointment: (They missed up, next app is for March)
Dietitian Appointment:

Jydan saw his dietitian last week and they were also impressed about his weight gain, but understand that Jydan does this cycle and will see him again in three months time. We got so tips on how to help Jydan have his milk, which has really helped too.. he's loving his formula now, he hated it to start with.
Speech Therapy Appointment: (next month)

Occupational Therapy Appointment: (hopefully soon)

Home Physio:
I mentioned last month about Jydans sitting and also wrote a post about W sitting. We are working on it everyday and since we have Jydan has started walking! He is also starting to respond when we say 'legs out'

Jydan has been eating soo well now, he is finally eating three meals, well, for the most part! He's eating better, drinking better, sleeping better, gaining weight.. everything is working out really well! This month has been pretty cruisy actually, Jydan is at such a perfect age! I'm really enjoying this age.

Jydan is such a little explorer! Explorer with getting into everything, working everything out - like how to build and pull apart blocks, and working out his emotions. He loves frowning at the moment - it's hilarious! I laugh every time!! But he is literally getting into everything! Pulling everything off the coffee table and bookshelf and draws, and throwing everything off the highchair! Tipping everything out of his sippy cup throwing everything around! No wonder he is sleeping better, haha! He is also trying to walk every where now. He took a few continues steps a couple of weeks ago and now he is walking back and forth to things.. he is still very much a crawler, and uses crawling to be faster but he LOVES walking. I always know he is walking to something because he giggles his little head off!

Jydan amazes me all the time with his speech. I mention it all the time, I know! But he talks soo much it spins me out and makes me SO proud. He says things like 'How are you?' and 'Here go'... 'Hang on' 'I love you' and sooo much more!! Ive completely lost count on how many words he says, I don't know how he learns half of them!!

Happy 14 months to my beautiful intelligent gorgeous little man who I'm utterly in love with xxxxxxxxx
