The decade of the word bully.

Bully. The word of the decade.
I know there's a huge need to stamp out bullying, but over using  and incorrectly using the word bully, is only belittling the hard work charities are doing to work against bullying.

It seems that every second person is a so-called bully these days, and the word is becoming meaningless. Especially in social media. I have been high-school bullied. I was pushed, shoved, punched and belittled. I can tell you you now, sharing views or opinions, and having someone disagree and proclaim it's bullying behaviour, only makes true bullying seem less harmless then it actually is. And that's incredibly scary! In fact, it's definying bullying as something so minimal, that bullying is becoming a bigger issue. Why? Because now, everyone is so completely God damn sick of everyone calling each other a fucking bully, anyone that genually is actually, like actually for real, a bully, is getting away with their behaviour!

THIS is the definition of bullying;

Bullying is repeated verbal, physical, social or psychological behaviour that is harmful and involves the misuse of power by an individual or group towards one or more persons. Cyberbullying refers to bullying through information and communication technologies.

Bullying can involve humiliation, domination, intimidation, victimisation and all forms of harassment including that based on sex, race, disability, homosexuality or transgender. Bullying of any form or for any reason can have long-term effects on those involved including bystanders.

Bullying can happen anywhere: at school, travelling to and from school, in sporting teams, between neighbours or in the workplace.

Bullying behaviour can be:

verbal eg name calling, teasing, abuse, putdowns, sarcasm, insults, threats

physical eg hitting, punching, kicking, scratching, tripping, spittingsocial eg ignoring, excluding, ostracising, alienating, making inappropriate gesturespsychological eg spreading rumours, dirty looks, hiding or damaging possessions, malicious SMS and email messages, inappropriate use of camera phones.


Conflict or fights between equals and single incidents are not defined as bullying.

 Bullying behavior is not;


children not getting along well. A situation of mutual conflictsingle episodes of nastiness or random acts of aggression or intimidation.

Let's re-word that last bit.

Bullying is not;

-ADULTS NOT GETTING ALONG WELL. (Act like a fucking adult and move on in life)
-A SITUATION OF MUTUAL CONFLICT. (Act like a fucking adult and move on in life)
-SINGLE EPISIDES OF NASTININESS. (Act like a fucking adult and move on in life)
-OR RANDOM ACTS OF AGGRESSION OR INTIMIDATION. (Act like a fucking adult and move on in life)

So let's lay of the word "bully" when you don't like someone's opinion, someone's views, someone's strength or confidence or don't get along with someone. Let's only use the word bullying / bully for it's true meaning so bulling problems can actually be stamped out.

Let's make 2017 the year people stopped being so damn dramatic over the word bully.
